On a challenge that she's overcome recently:
"Having a cat come into my life. It's been almost a year, come Valentine's Day. He's a Bengal — they have some wild Asian leopard in them, as well as domestic. Between just getting our rhythms and putting cat doors in and getting adjusted to his feeding, it's honestly taken about a year of adjustment. Just for it to run smoothly! In the beginning he was high-energy. You definitely have to let them be indoor/outdoor — you cannot keep them contained within your house.
That was a tough one, and then the mice — he'd bring in mice. And I like mice, I've had pet mice, so that was kind of hard. Sometimes I could rescue them, but other times I ended up having to bury them. And then he brought a pretty yellow bird to me the other day — he's never brought a bird. Plus he wakes me up at 5 in the morning, every morning. So I get up, feed him, go back to bed for another couple of hours, then he wants me up at 7. I feed him again. I pet him a lot. They are princes — they run your life. It's not like a dog. It's a whole different ballpark."
